Calculator
Projected score calculator
Project a final innings total from the current score and run rate. A simple run-rate projection, not a prediction of the result.
Formula
Projected score = current score + (remaining balls ÷ 6) × run rate. Shown at the current rate and at one and two runs an over higher.
Worked examples
- 92 after 11 overs of 20: current rate 8.36, projection 167.
- 150 after 30 of 50 overs at 5.00: projection 250.
- 45 after 6 overs at 7.50: projection over 20 overs is 150.
How it works
Broadcasters show projected scores at different run rates. This calculator does the same arithmetic. It is a projection of the run rate only; it does not account for wickets and is not a prediction.
Frequently asked questions
How is a projected score calculated?
Current score plus the remaining overs multiplied by an assumed run rate.
